Carlisle quarterback Gerald Turner had thrown only four interceptions all season entering this past week's regional semifinal against Tenaha.

Tiger defensive back Jordan Marshall nearly doubled that total against him in a 35-14 victory against the previously unbeaten Indians. Marshall finished with three interceptions and added four tackles.

For his efforts, he is the Week 14 ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Defensive Player of the Week. He follows Gilmer's Ronnie McPherson, who won the award in Week 13.

Tenaha improved to 10-3 with the victory and advanced to the 2A D-I Region III final, where it will face San Augustine (12-2) at 7 p.m. Friday at Dragon Stadium in Nacogdoches. The teams played earlier this season, with Tenaha winning 14-0.
