FAIRFIELD -- Tenaha wracked up 339 rushing yards and scored seven touchdowns on the ground Friday in a 76-0 rout of Meridian.

Trai Gardner ran in scores of 10, 34 and 77 yards to lead the Tigers' charge through the Class 2A Division II, Region III area round. He also caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from quarterback C.J. Horn.

A 10-yard run by Gardner less than three minutes into the contest held up as the game-winning touchdown.

Meridian, the second-place finisher out of District 10-2A Division II, finished its season with a 7-5 overall record.

Onterio Thompson finished with three touchdowns behind Gardner's team-best four scores.

Tenaha (12-0) will take on Iola in the regional semifinal round of the postseason.
