The first offer arrived Sunday for Reggie Long.

Whitehouse's senior linebacker announced on Twitter that Texas A&M-Commerce offered him.

A&M-Commerce, an NCAA Division II program, signed eight East Texans in its 2013 class, including one of Long's high school teamates, offensive lineman McKenlee Smith.

Long measured 6-0 1/2, 218.2 pounds at the May 19 ETSN.fm Football Recruiting Combine. He finished second on Whitehouse's team in tackles in 2012, when he recorded 76 tackles, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery.

Long is the third member of Whitehouse's defense to receive a college offer. Junior safety Justin Dunning holds five FBS offers -- Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech -- while junior cornerback Nate Brooks received an FBS offer from North Texas on Saturday.
