TEXARKANA -- Riley Russell threw three touchdown passes and Texas High dominated Mount Pleasant from the beginning in a 48-0 shutout on Friday night in District 16-5A action.

Russell connected with Jaqualin Brown (44 yards), Kobe Webster (14 yards) and TCU commit Tevailance Hunt (51 yards) to help the Tigers move to 4-3 on the season and 2-1 in district.

Chris Sutton added a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs in the first half to lead Texas High to a 34-0 lead at the break.

Trakeci Cooper (4 yards) and Kendall Reid (17 yards) also added touchdown runs for the Tigers.

Texas High held Mount Pleasant (1-7, 0-4) to just 102 yards of offense in the game.
