TEXARKANA -- Cade Pearson threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns to give No. 7 Texas High a 45-19 win on Friday night, which kept the Tigers unbeaten in 2016.

Texas High is now 8-0 on the season and 3-0 in District 16-5A, while Greenville dropped to 1-7 and 0-4.

Pearson, who completed 14 of 18 passes with an interception, threw two touchdown passes to Markese Martin and the other to Tevailance Hunt. Martin also ran nine times for 72 yards and two more scores.

Devuntay Walker also ran 14 times for 125 yards and a touchdown for Texas High, which jumped out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter.

A 28-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Jarvis to Derrick Givens helped Greenville cut Texas High's lead to 28-13 at halftime, but Martin scored twice in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Running back Cadamion Hale scored Greenville's other two touchdowns on the ground, and he finished the game with 119 yards on 28 carries.

Quan Hampton led Texas High in receiving with five catches for 78 yards and Hunt caught five balls for 66 yards.
