It was a rough start to the 2017 season for the Texas High Tigers.

Following a 10-0 regular season last year, Texas High began this campaign with a couple of tough losses. And in between, the Tigers unexpectedly lost one of their teammates -- senior defensive end Leonard Parks, who tragically passed away.

Needless to say, the Texas High football program needed something positive to happen.

And last Friday night, junior quarterback Coltin Clack engineered by far the Tigers' best offensive performance of the season, which resulted in win No. 1.

Clack posted 335 yards of total offense and accounted for five touchdowns in Texas High's 37-23 win over crosstown rival Liberty-Eylau. And for his efforts, he is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week.

He follows last week's winner, Van quarterback Garrett Moseley.

Clack completed 17 of 23 attempts for 230 yards and four touchdowns, and added 105 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries in the win.

Texas High (1-2) will go for back-to-back victories this Friday night at Kilgore (3-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium.
