Regional volleyball teams were well represented in the latest weekly Texas Girls Coaches Association's state volleyball poll.

East Texas has 11 teams ranked in the various UIL classifications.

The area is most potent in Class 3A. Arp leads the local 3A teams with the No. 10 spot in the poll. Alba-Golden and White Oak are 13th and 14th, respectively, Winona climbed to 16th, Queen City moved to No. 23 and Central Heights cracked the poll in a tie for 25th with Paris Chisum.

Beckville is the highest-ranked East Texas team in any of the classifications. It held steady in the No. 4 spot of the 2A poll. Gary is the No. 11 team in the poll. Beckville will visit Gary on Tuesday.

Spring Hill leads Class 4A teams with the No. 14 ranking. Van also cracked the poll in a tie for 25th with Borger from the Panhandle region.

Hallsville moved down in the Class 5A poll despite only having one loss. The team is now No. 6. No other team in the 5A top 25 has just one loss.
