TGCA Ranks 15 East Texas Teams in Latest Statewide Volleyball Polls

A total of 15 East Texas volleyball teams from Class 4A to Class A were ranked in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association polls released Monday.

Spring Hill’s No. 3 ranking in Class 3A was highest of any team in the region and led East Texas’ five-time 3A contingent that also included No. 6 Van, No. 14 Henderson, No. 24 Carthage and No. 25 Gilmer. Bullard was honorable mention.

Lindale remained East Texas’ only ranked team in the two largest classifications at No. 10 in Class 4A.

No. 9 White Oak led the region’s Class 2A group of eight ranked teams, followed by No. 12 Eustace, No. 16 Troup, No. 17 New Diana, No. 19 Tatum, No. 20 Sabine, No 24 Quitman and No. 25 Palestine Westwood.

Beckville was East Texas’ lone Class A representative at No. 11. Cayuga was honorable mention.
