Three of Pine Tree girls soccer coach Daniel Rich's seniors will play at the next level.

Forward Amanda Cabrera, goalkeeper Brittany Dowdy, and goalkeeper Brittany Hollis have secured college spots for next year. Cabrera has committed to Jacksonville College, while Dowdy and Hollis will be American Southwest Conference rivals: Dowdy with Louisiana College and Hollis with LeTourneau.

Cabrera scored 20 goals and dished out nine assists in 2013, when the Lady Pirates tied a single-season school record for wins with a 23-2-1 record and reached the regional semifinal round for the fourth consecutive season.

Cabrera finished her PT career with 55 goals and 47 assists, ranking her seventh and fifth, respectively, on the Lady Pirates' career lists. Cabrera was a 2013 and 2011 district Offensive MVP and a 2010 and 2012 first team all-district selection. Jacksonville College, a two-year school, is an NJCAA Division I program.

Dowdy moved to PT from Louisiana midseason, Rich said, but gave a Pine Tree team already strong in goal with Hollis and fellow senior Kaiti Lawrence even more depth. Louisiana College is an NCAA Division III program.

Hollis, a two-time first team all-district selection, moved from the field to goalkeeper as a sophomore. She helped PT record 17 shutouts in 2013, when she made 55 saves. Hollis finished her high school career with 143 saves and a member of 42 shutouts.
