Here's a game that could actually make Jeff Traylor question his allegiance. At least for the night.

The current University of Texas passing game coordinator, special teams coordinator and receivers and tight ends coach built a monster at Gilmer before leaving after the 2014 season.

One of the nation's best cornerbacks happens to be a Nacogdoches star, a Texas commitment and will be the Buckeyes' biggest defensive obstacle on Sept. 23.

Yes, Gilmer at Nacogdoches checks in at No. 22 as ETSN.fm counts down the top 25 most anticipated regular season games.

The Buckeyes have flash. They have star power. They own a 30-1 record dating back to Week 1 of 2014. And this game could realistically be the end of their best multi-year run if Liberty-Eylau doesn't do the honor in the No. 25 game of 2016.

Nacogdoches will begin the game already nearly as prepared as it can be for District 17-5A competition. The team scrimmages John Tyler ahead of facing Kilgore, Lufkin, Tyler Lee and Hallsville in straight weeks leading up to the Buckeyes.

Josh Thompson -- that blue chip corner and a recruit Traylor will be responsible for landing on National Signing Day -- gives the Dragons a lot of confidence as well.

Can Gilmer receiver LaMarcus Morton rattle the Nacogdoches defense? Morton versus Thompson could be as relevant in 2021 as it will be in a few weeks since Morton is an Oklahoma State verbal pledge.

Those two guys certainly aren't the only players able to peek past high school ball.

Nacogdoches quarterback and Arkansas-Monticello commit Noah Hildebrand had a good first season under center for the Dragons. He'll actually be a third-year starter, dating back to a sophomore season leading Bossier City (La.) Airline.

Hildebrand's top target will likely be Jaylon Maxie, who has a standing offer from Stephen F. Austin.

It's not like Nacogdoches has the only star defensive back in the game. Gilmer safety Kollin Hurt has pledged to Louisiana Tech.

You can see them all and many other high school talents for the price of $10 or less at Dragon Stadium.
