The non-district clash checks in at No. 23 on ETSN.fm's list of the top 25 games of 2018.

Both Van and Gilmer have question marks at quarterback coming into the season.

Van must replace three-year starter Garrett Moseley, who piloted the Vandals to back-to-back, double-digit wins seasons. Gilmer graduated Aaron "Poppy" Brown, who passed for more than 8,500 yards and 75 touchdowns the last two years.

With the game coming so early in the season, it could be an good barometer for each offense as the teams move closer to the district campaign.
