Three East Texans competed in Friday's Texas Girls Coaches Association 1A-2A-3A softball all-star game, and one came home with Most Valuable Player honors.

Troup's Katelyn Standley tripled, doubled, and drove in five runs to lead the Red team to a 7-1 victory against the Blue squad at the University of Texas' McCombs Field in Austin.

Standley played catcher and shortstop in addition to her big day at the plate.

Rusk pitcher Sydney Littlejohn, who will play at Alabama next season, pitched for the Blue team, allowing no runs in three innings of work.

Elysian Fields infielder Kaylee Prather also played for the victorious Red squad.

Each team consisted of 13 graduating seniors from across the state in the 3A, 2A, and 1A classifications.
