SHREVEPORT -- Longview erased an early three-run deficit, but Evangel came back with a walk-off win thanks to a seventh-inning run to beat the Lobos 6-5 on Tuesday.

Longview (9-3) trailed 4-1 after one inning, but scored three runs in the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. Evangel tied the game in the sixth before winning it in the seventh.

Longview's Judson Murray had a double and drove in two runs, while Austin Attaway and Spencer Barton had one RBI apiece. Ben Wooley had one double.

Zach Brightwell Powers Carlisle Past Beckville

PRICE -- Zach Brightwell's big day on the mound and at the plate led Carlisle to a 7-1 victory over Beckville on Tuesday.

Brightwell homered, drove in four runs, scored two runs, and got the win, improving to 3-0 on the season for the 10-0 Indians. Brightwell yielded no earned runs and two hits, striking out 15 and walking two in a complete-game effort. The win also push Carlile to 3-0 in District 20-A play.

Carlisle's Kolton Heim hit a solo home run, while teammates Ben Goss and Clay Allphin each singled and drove in one run. Leadoff hitter Shadow Sanders singled once, scored once, and walked twice. Ty Baker singled once and scored once. Gunner Baker and Justin McMurtry scored one run apiece.

Carlisle scored three runs in the first two innings to build an early lead. Beckville's unearned run came in the top of the third, but Carlisle answered with three fourth-inning runs and another in the fifth for the six-run victory margin.
