HENDERSON -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-0 in District 16-3A with a 63-41 win over Henderson on Tuesday night.

Shay Ross led the Lady Bulldogs (12-5, 2-0) with 20 points. Gabby Brooks added 15 points, while Kyia Moore finished with 11.

Henderson (0-2 in district) was led by freshman Joy Williams, who finished with 18 points. Keyah Stewart chipped in with 15 in the losing effort.

Chapel Hill continues its season Friday at home against Gilmer, while Henderson travels to Brownsboro also on Friday.

Gilmer Edges Rival Gladewater

GILMER -- The Gilmer Lady Buckeyes secured their first District 16-3A win of the season with a 38-32 victory over Gladewater on Tuesday.

Christian Brown paced Gilmer (9-7, 1-2) with 12 points, while Belynda Ray added 11.

Diamond Goodwyn's 12 points led Gladewater, which dropped to 1-2 in league play.

Gilmer visits Chapel Hill, while Gladewater entertains Spring Hill as 16-3A action continues Friday.

No. 12 Bullard Too Much For Rusk

BULLARD -- The 12th-ranked Bullard Lady Panthers scored a 64-36 non-district victory over Rusk on Tuesday night.

Lexi Kirgan led Bullard (15-5) with 20 points. Bridgette Taylor added 17 points, while Brittany Hinton finished the night with 13.

Bullard returns to action Dec. 30 at home against Yantis. Rusk's season continues Dec. 26-28 at its own tournament.

Mineola Rolls Past Emory Rains

EMORY -- The Mineola Lady Jackets cruised to a 57-32 non-district win over Emory Rains on Tuesday.

Sister Green led Mineola (8-8) with 23 points, which included a 4-for-5 performance from beyond the 3-point line. Jordan Dawson added 12 points, while Raven Johnson and Kelsey Green finished with nine points apiece.

Mineola's season continues Dec. 26-28 at the UT Tyler Tournament.

Hughes Springs Takes Down Queen City

QUEEN CITY -- The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs evened their District 16-2A record with a 56-41 defeat of Queen City on Tuesday night.

Destiny Gonzales led the way for Hughes Springs (7-7, 1-1) with 13 points. KaJza Murphy added 10 points, six rebounds, six assists and seven steals, Kaycee Willis finished with 10 points and Breanne Gunn chipped in with eight points, seven boards and six steals.

Hughes Springs returns to the court on Dec. 31 against Linden-Kildare, while Queen City (0-2 in district) plays at Linden-Kildare on Friday.

No. 22 Winona Rips Arp

WINONA -- The 22nd-ranked Winona Lady Wildcats eased to a 73-31 win over Arp in District 18-2A action Tuesday night.

Bailey Daniels had the hot shooting hand for Winona (13-1, 2-1) with 21 points, coming on seven 3-pointers. Kawaii Gordon added 16 points and eight rebounds, Jamece Gulley finished with 14 points and five steals and Darrisha Crawford contributed 10 points, five rebounds and four steals.

Winona's season continues Friday at Frankston, while Arp hosts Harmony also on Friday.

Top-Ranked Martin's Mill Hammers Beckville

BECKVILLE -- The No. 1 Martin's Mill Lady Mustangs delivered a 47-17 win over Beckville on Tuesday.

The victory improved Martin's Mill to 15-2 overall and 2-0 in District 17-A Division I.

Martin's Mill's season continues Dec. 26-28 at the College Station Tournament. Beckville hosts Leverett's Chapel on Friday.

No. 18 White Oak Notches Blowout Win

WHITE OAK -- The 18th-ranked White Oak Roughnecks scored a 71-37 non-district victory over Winnsboro on Tuesday night.

Hayden Nichols paced the Roughnecks (1-0) with 19 points and 12 rebounds in his first game of the year following football season. Slade Sutton added 11 points, and Landry Sheridan added 10 in the winning effort.

White Oak begins District 17-2A play Friday at Union Grove. Winnsboro entertains Grand Saline on Friday in the 14-2A opener.

Troup Blows Past Harmony

HARMONY -- The Troup Tigers began District 18-2A action in fine form with a 69-32 rout of Harmony on Tuesday.

Marcus Kincade led the way for Troup with 17 points, which included three 3-pointers. Chance Selvidge added 13 points, while Lou Roberson and Nate Jenkinson finished with eight points apeice.

Harmony (2-8, 0-1) was led in defeat by Austin Spurlock's 12 points.

Troup plays host to West Rusk, while Harmony is at Arp on Friday.

No. 9 Martin's Mill Dominates Beckville

BECKVILLE -- The ninth-ranked Martin's Mill Mustangs opened District 17-A Division I with a 66-30 rout of Beckville on Tuesday.

Martin's Mill (11-2, 1-0) was led by Logan Jenkins' 11 points. Hunter Conway added 10 points, while July Latimer, Dylan Weatherford and Jacob Greenlee had nine points apiece.

The Mustangs are back in action this weekend as they host the Bryan Mewbourn Tournament from Thursday-Saturday. Beckville entertains Leverett's Chapel on Friday.

Diboll Defeats No. 10 San Augustine

DIBOLL -- The Class 3A Diboll Lumberjacks scored a 65-49 win over the San Augustine Wolves, the 10th-ranked team in 1A Division I by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, on Tuesday night.

San Augustine (10-5) was led in defeat by Dez Randle, who finished with 22 points. Jadarrian Taylor chipped in with 10 points in the losing effort.

Diboll returns to action Friday at Center in the District 20-3A opener, while San Augustine plays host to No. 7 Tenaha also on Friday.
