BULLARD -- The Lindale Eagles opened the season with a 53-43 win over Bullard on Tuesday night.

Jacob Capo led Lindale (1-0) with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Andrez Alvarez added 11 points, Mason Terry had eight points -- including two 3-pointers -- with five assists and two steals, Jordan Gray finished with seven points (two 3-pointers), four assists and five steals, while Brian Boaz contributed four points, five rebounds and three assists.

Hunter Landrum led Bullard with 16 points.

Lindale continues its season Saturday at home against Mabank, while Bullard hosts Tyler Grace on Thursday.

Tyler All Saints Rolls Past Canton

CANTON -- The Tyler All Saints Trojans improved to 2-0 with an 80-47 rout of Canton on Tuesday night.

Jaired Maddox led All Saints with 23 points, while Aston Francis had 19 points. Luke Lee contributed 16 points in the big win.

All Saints continues its season Friday at home against Winona, while Canton is at Frankston next Tuesday.

No. 13 LaPoynor Opens With Victory

LA RUE -- The LaPoynor Flyers, ranked No. 13 in Class A Division I by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, opened the season with a 61-51 victory over the Whitehouse JV on Tuesday night.

Mason Motal led LaPoynor (1-0) with 15 points and seven rebounds. Wade Lang added 12 points, while Octavious Creer registered four points and seven assists.

LaPoynor is back in action next Tuesday at Tyler Bishop Gorman.

No. 21 Martin's Mill Cruises in Opener

MARTIN'S MILL -- The No. 21 Martin's Mill Mustangs opened the season with a 69-11 win over Dallas A+ Academy on Tuesday.

Davis Moore led Martin's Mill (1-0) with 18 points, which included four 3-pointers. Logan Jenkins and July Latimer had 11 points apiece, while Hunter Conway chipped in with 10 as nine different Mustangs hit the scoring column.

The Mustangs' season resumes this weekend at the New Summerfield Tournament, which begins Thursday and continues through Saturday.

No. 8 Laneville Eases Past Leggett

LEGGETT -- The eighth-ranked Laneville Yellow Jackets recorded a 90-33 rout of Leggett on Tuesday in their season opener.

Dontavious Harris led the way with 31 points (six 3-pointers), eight rebounds and five steals. Tra Alexander added 16 points, 10 boards and seven steals, Ty Johnson had 14 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks, while Kendrick Anderson filled the stat sheet with eight points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Laneville returns to action Nov. 22 at home against Nacogdoches Central Heights.

Tyler Grace Downs Crandall in Season Opener

TYLER -- The Tyler Grace Cougars began the season victoriously, behind a monster night from Verlo Levels.

Levels scored 25 points and pulled down 20 rebounds in the Cougars' 69-63 defeat of Crandall on Tuesday night. Phillip McKinney added 11 rebounds and six assists, Andrew Melhart scored 10 points, Trevor Gunter had eight points and six boards and Thomas Nance finished with four points and 11 rebounds.

Grace (1-0) travels to Bullard on Thursday.

Gary Begins Season Victoriously

WELLS -- Gary opened the season with a 44-40 victory over Wells on Tuesday night.

Colton Coleman led Gary (1-0) with 21 points, while Josh Bowen added 16.

Both Gary and Wells (0-1) are participating in the Wells Tournament on Thursday-Saturday.

Lufkin Pineywoods Opens With Win

LUFKIN -- Lufkin Pineywoods Academy scored a 56-43 victory over Crimson Christian Academy on Tuesday in its season opener.

Luke Collins led Pineywoods (1-0) with 29 points.

No. 6 Bullard Too Much For Brownsboro

BROWNSBORO -- Sixth-ranked Bullard improved to 2-0 on the season with a 59-41 win over Brownsboro on Tuesday night.

Lexi Abercrombie had 22 points, which included five 3-pointers, to lead the Lady Panthers. Lexi Kirgan added 17 points, while Bridgette Taylor finished with 10 for Bullard.

The Lady Panthers' season resumes this weekend at the Miller Grove Tournament, which begins Thursday.

Pittsburg Earns Win Over Commerce

COMMERCE -- The Pittsburg Lady Pirates scored a 54-41 victory over Commerce on Tuesday night.

Denasia Watson led a balanced Pittsburg scoring effort with 11 points. Shaundrea Rhymes added 10 points, while Dmaya Hashaway and Ayanna Palmer had eight apiece.

Pittsburg returns to action Saturday at home against Gilmer.

Garrison Doubles Up On Tenaha

TENAHA -- The Garrison Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-0 with a 70-35 rout of Tenaha on Tuesday.

KiAudra Hayter led the way with 20 points eight steals, while Jasia Berry added 19 points and four steals.

Garrison participates in the Martinsville Tournament on Thursday-Saturday, while Tenaha resumes its season this weekend at the Slocum Tournament, which begins Thursday.

Sunnyvale Knocks Off No. 2 Martin's Mill

MARTIN'S MILL -- Sunnyvale handed second-ranked and defending Class A Division I state champion Martin's Mill a 41-35 loss Tuesday night.

The Lady Mustangs (1-1) were led in defeat by Cheyenne Brown's 12 points. Cassidy McCoy added eight points, while Hailey and Hannah Celsur combined for 10 in the loss.

Alto Blows Past Tyler All Saints

ALTO -- The Alto Lady Jackets improved to 2-0 with a 62-41 win over Tyler All Saints on Tuesday night.

Dariyana Moore led the way with 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals. Addi Pate also scored 16 points, Carenza Johnson added 12 points, 14 boards and four blocks, Dominique Thompson had eight points and 15 rebounds and JaKamri Green chipped in with eight points.

Kelcee Harwood led All Saints with 17 points.

Alto is back in action this weekend at the Wells Tournament, which gets under way Thursday. All Saints is at Carlisle on Friday.

West Sabine Too Much For Timpson

PINELAND -- The West Sabine Lady Tigers cruised to a 52-9 win over Timpson on Tuesday.

Sydney Woods led the charge with 21 points. Tatyana Lacey added 12 points, seven rebounds and five steals, and Kelli Stark had 11 points, five boards, 12 assists and five steals.

West Sabine's season resumes Monday at Woodville, while Timpson is at Laneville on Tuesday.

Canton Knocks Off No. 3 Fairfield

CANTON -- The Canton Eaglettes scored a 47-40 upset of third-ranked Fairfield on Monday night.

Kassidy Wilkerson led Canton (1-0) with 16 points, while Courtney Rogers added 12, which included two 3-pointers. Ariana Martinez chipped in with eight points.

Canton is back in action next Tuesday at home against Sunnyvale.
