TEXARKANA -- The seventh-ranked Paris Wildcats rolled past No. 24 Pleasant Grove, 66-43, in a matchup of District 15-4A unbeatens Tuesday night.

All five Paris (24-2, 4-0) starters scored in double figures. Jalon Pipkins led the way with 15 points. Josh Robinson added 14 points and six rebounds, Jalon Embry had 13 points, while Jordan Embry and Jalen Wallace scored 10 points apiece.

Pleasant Grove (18-6, 3-1) was led in defeat by Cross Bright, who finished with 12 points and five rebounds. Tanner Cole knocked down three 3-pointers for his nine points.

Each team is back in action Friday night. Paris hosts Atlanta, while Pleasant Grove travels to Liberty-Eylau.

 

Whitehouse Edges Lindale

WHITEHOUSE -- Javier Neal's layup with one second remaining helped Whitehouse escape with a 43-41 win over Lindale on Tuesday night in District 16-5A action.

McKade Marquis led Whitehouse (17-9, 3-4) with 15 points. Colby Duhon and Ryan Walls added 10 and nine points, respectively.

Lindale's Jordan Gray led all scorers with 23 points.

The season continues for both teams Friday. Whitehouse plays at John Tyler, while Lindale entertains Corsicana.

 

Edgewood Holds Off Harmony

HARMONY -- The Edgewood Bulldogs earned a 54-50 win over Harmony in District 14-3A action Tuesday night.

Trey Erwin led Edgewood (7-1 in district) with 15 points, while Garrett Baker added 14 points.

Harmony (12-10, 3-5) was paced in the loss by Jacob Kimmen, who finished with 15 points. Waymon Lay added 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Bentley Miner chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds.

Both teams return to the court Friday night. Edgewood entertains Grand Saline, while Harmony plays host to Winona.

 

No. 17 Waskom Continues to Roll

LIBERTY CITY -- The 17th-ranked Waskom Wildcats remained unbeaten in District 17-3A with a 62-50 win over Sabine on Tuesday.

Eric Stephens III nailed four 3-pointers and finished with 24 points to lead Waskom (8-5, 3-0). Kaleb Haynes added 22 points, while Mike Reason chipped in with 10 points.

The season resumes Friday for each team. Waskom travels to Elysian Fields, while Sabine plays at New Diana.

 

Frankston Edges Troup

TROUP -- The Frankston Indians preserved their unbeaten record in District 18-3A with a hard-fought 35-33 win over Troup on Tuesday night.

Justice Bean led Frankston (8-0 in district) with 10 points, while Kendrick Rogers added nine points.

Troup (5-16, 0-8) got 10 points from Shane Thomas and nine from Jared Jackson, including two 3-pointers, in defeat.

The season continues Friday for both teams. Frankston plays at Rice, while Troup entertains Eustace.

 

GIRLS

No. 22 Bullard Routs Gladewater

BULLARD -- The 22nd-ranked Bullard Lady Panthers rolled to a 71-31 defeat of Gladewater on Tuesday in District 16-4A action.

Lexi Kirgan paced Bullard (23-5, 5-1) with 18 points, while Hannah Lloyd added 17. Kristen Chamberlain chipped in with 10 points.

The season picks back up Friday for each team. Bullard travels to Gilmer, while Gladewater plays at Spring Hill.

 

Chapel Hill Too Much For Spring Hill

NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs coasted to a 55-37 rout of Spring Hill in District 16-4A competition on Tuesday night.

Mykaela Alfred led Chapel Hill (20-8, 4-2) with 17 points, while Daija Maddox knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points.

Spring Hill (2-4 in district) was led in defeat by Ann Hollas, who poured in a game-high 18 points.

Each team is back in action Friday night. Chapel Hill plays at Kilgore, while Spring Hill hosts Gladewater.

 

No. 8 Winnsboro Downs Winona

WINONA -- The eighth-ranked Winnsboro Lady Raiders rolled to a 59-30 win over Winona in District 14-3A action Tuesday.

Winnsboro improved to 23-5 overall and 9-1 in district.

Winona (16-7, 6-4) was led in defeat by Daysha Hanson, who finished with 16 points and five steals. Mallori Shacklett added nine points and five rebounds.

Each team returns to the court Friday night. Winnsboro plays host to Mineola, while Winona travels to Harmony.

 

Shelbyville Stops Beckville

SHELBYVILLE -- The Shelbyville Lady Dragons scored a 38-16 win over Beckville in District 22-2A action Tuesday evening.

JaKyra Ross and Jabria Jenkins led Shelbyville with 14 points apiece.

Beckville, in the loss, was paced by Chelcie Pierce, who finished with 10 points, nine rebounds and two assists.

The season resumes Friday for both teams. Shelbyville travels to Timpson, while Beckville is at home against Martinsville.
