TATUM -- Class 2A's No. 5-ranked Tatum Eagles kept a perfect district record Tuesday thanks to another three-point barrage from Robbie Rockwell and dominating defensive performance in a 106-47 victory vs. Jefferson.

Rockwell hit five triples to finish with 29 points and six steals, while teammate Chaston Brooks recorded 17 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Donovan Centers had 16 points, five board, five steals, and two assists.

Tatum (20-4, 6-0) got off to a scorching start to lead 40-11 after one quarter. Rockwell had 12 points in the opening period, which saw Centers and Jahee Johnson score eights points apiece. Leading 77-34 through three quarters, Tatum had another big period in the fourth, when the Eagles outscored Jefferson 29-13 for the 59-point victory margin.

Tatum's Devonte Alexander had 14 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Johnson added 12 points, eight rebounds, and two steals, while Martin Williams netted nine points. Casey Carr dished out a team-high seven assists. JaKoby Lee chipped in seven points and four rebounds.

The loss dropped Jefferson to 2-4 in district competition.

Marshall Rolls Past Mount Pleasant

MARSHALL -- Four players scored in double figures to fuel Marshall's 84-47 home rout of Mount Pleasant in Tuesday's District 14-4A meeting.

Tiandre Jackson-Young and Curtis Kador led the Mavericks (23-3, 2-0) with 16 points apiece. Teammates Shimar Jones and T.J. Maxfield scored 14 points and 13 points, respectively.

K.D. Cannon's 10 points led Mount Pleasant, which fell to 5-10 overall and 1-1 in 14-4A.

No. 17 Athens Crushes Mineola

MINEOLA -- Ryan Jefferson's strong all-around performance led 17th-ranked Athens to a 73-23 blowout at Mineola in Tuesday's District 15-3A contest.

Jefferson finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and six steals, while Anthony Sanders added 16 points. The win pushed Athens to 19-1 overall and 2-0 in 15-3A play.

Athens' Kynden Crist scored 11 points. Teammate Josh Garrett snagged a game-high 11 rebounds. Nikell Roberts (7), Rashaan Miller (6), and Courtland Lyons (6) combined for 19 points.

Athens hosts Brownsboro at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Rusk Pulls Away from Groesbeck

GROESBECK -- A big fourth quarter propelled Rusk to a 59-52 District 19-3A-opening win at Groesbeck on Tuesday evening.

P.J. Tilley scored 15 points to lead the Eagles, who got 14 points and four rebounds from Chase Stanley. Jadarian Skinner finished with nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists, while Isiah Francis had seven points, five boards, and three steals.

Waskom Cruises By New Diana

WASKOM -- Seven Wildcats scored at least six points in a balanced effort that resulted in Waskom's 76-34 district rout of New Diana on Tuesday night.

Waskom's Eric Stephens, who hit three three-pointers, scored a game-high 19 points. Kevin Johnson followed with 12 points, while June Bug Johnson and Kyle Adams netted eight points apiece. Mike Reason (7), Nigel Brown (6), and Dillon Benton (6) combined for 19 points.

The win pushed Waskom to 7-5 overall and 5-1 in league action. K.J. Jeffery's nine points led New Diana, which fell to 0-6 in district play.

Hawkins Tops Harmony

HAWKINS -- Lavon Davis led four Hawks in double figures as Hawkins beat Harmony 78-41 in Tuesday's district matchup.

Davis scored a team-high 19 points, while Demarcus Wesley and Noah Burwell scored 11 points apiece. Teammate Derek Craft added 10 points. Leslie Alaman had seven.

Harmony's Austin Spurlock scored a game-high 20 points. Teammates Levi Thompson and Caleb Hart combined for 15 rebounds. Bentley Miner scored six points.

Hawkins improved to 15-2 overall and 6-0 in district, while Harmony fell to 2-14, 0-6.

No. 3 Laneville Routs Chireno

LANEVILLE -- Tra Alexander and Donta Harris almost outscored Chireno in third-ranked Laneville's 84-53 district victory Tuesday night.

Alexander led the Yellow Jackets (20-6, 4-1) with 27 points, nine rebounds, and seven steals, while Harris netted 25 points, 10 boards, seven assists, and five steals.

Laneville's Tiarel Franklin had 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Teammate Kendrick Anderson came close to a triple-double with 13 points, 11 boards, and eight assists.

Gary Takes Down Timpson

GARY -- Gary ran its District 22-A Division I record to 2-0 with a 57-45 defeat of Timpson on Tuesday night.

Colton Coleman led Gary (13-5 overall) with 25 points, which included a 4-for-8 performance from beyond the 3-point line. Josh Bowen added 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while Austin Morton and Cody Bridges scored seven and five points, respectively. Badie Harvey led Gary in rebounding with seven.

Gary returns to acton Friday at Joaquin, while Timpson (0-2 in district) hosts Tenaha also on Friday.

Tyler Grace Rolls Past Dallas Shelton

TYLER -- The Tyler Grace Cougars remained unbeaten in TAPPS District 2-4A with a 90-49 rout of Dallas Shelton on Tuesday.

Verlo Levels led the way for Grace (20-3, 3-0) with 25 points, 11 rebounds and four assists and five steals. Andrew Melhart added 22 points, six boards and three steals, Trevor Gunter provided 20 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and three steals and Phillip McKinney finished with 15 points, eight assists and four rebounds.

The Cougars return to action Friday at Tyler All Saints.

Chapel Hill Tops Gladewater

NEW CHAPEL HILL -- Daijashnae Maddox and Shay Ross led Chapel Hill's charge in a 48-34 district home win against Gladewater on Tuesday evening.

Maddox scored a team-high 13 points, while Ross added 12. Kyia Moore scored seven points.

Maddox hit four three-pointers in the win, which gave the Lady Bulldogs a 19-10 overall record and 5-2 mark in District 16-3A.

Bullard Beats Gilmer

GILMER -- Bridgette Taylor and Lexi Abercrombie led Bullard to a 53-32 district victory Tuesday night at Gilmer.

Taylor scored a game-high 24 points, while Abercrombie added 13. The Lady Panthers improved to 19-6 overall and 4-2 in District 16-3A.

Bullard's Taylor Frederick and Brittany Hinton scored five points apiece in the win.

Mineola Downs Athens

MINEOLA -- Kelsey Green, Sister Green, and Jordan Dawson led Mineola to a 58-45 District 15-3A victory Tuesday against Athens.

Kelsey Green scored a team-high 19 points, followed by 16 from Sister Green and 11 from Dawson. The win gave Mineola a 2-2 district record.

Bryla Barker's game-high 20 points led Athens, which fell to 0-4 in 15-3A. Teammate Caridad Aguilera scored 15 points. Hadley Cain had 10.

Pleasant Grove Too Much For Atlanta

TEXARKANA -- The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks remained unbeaten in District 13-3A after a 77-50 rout of Atlanta on Tuesday.

Carley Barrett led Pleasant Grove (19-4, 4-0), which scored 35 points in the third quarter, with 27 points that included five of her team's 11 3-pointers. Renee Walker added 17 points, while Brette Wacha finished with 12 points on four 3-point shots.

Jasmine paced Atlanta (12-8, 1-3) with 14 points. Crystal Jones added 12 points in the losing effort.

Pleasant Grove is at Paris, while Atlanta hosts Paris North Lamar on Friday.

Gordon's Free Throws Lift Winona Over Troup

WINONA -- Larisa Gordon hit two game-winning free throws with seven seconds remaining to propel Winona to a 51-50 district win Tuesday against Troup.

Gordon finished with nine points, three rebounds, and two steals. Teammate Kawaii Gordon had 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Jamece Gulley tallied 15 points, three steals, two assists, and two blocks.

Winona's Bailey Daniels hit two three-pointers and finished with eight points. Shay Virgil snagged eight rebounds.

The win pushed the Ladycats to 16-3 overall and 5-3 in district, while Troup slipped to 3-7 in league play.

No. 1 Martin's Mill Routs Harleton

HARLETON -- Cheyenne Brown dropped 31 points to lead top-ranked Martin's Mill to a 70-37 district win Tuesday evening at Harleton.

Martin's Mill (24-2, 7-0) got 13 points from Hailey Celsur and 10 points from Alyssa Pate, while Cassidy McCoy netted seven points. Kaylee Knowlton's 20 points led Harleton.

Martin's Mill hosts Beckville at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
