TEXARKANA -- The Texas High Lady Tigers forced a tie with Marshall for the fourth and final playoff spot from District 15-5A with a 45-41 win over the Lady Mavericks on Tuesday night.

Texas High (17-12, 7-7) and Marshall (18-14, 7-7) will meet at 6 p.m. Friday from Queen City with the winner meeting Lufkin in the bi-district round of the postseason next week.

Antonia Parker led the Lady Tigers with 14 points. Grace Brooks added nine points, Mia Wilson had eight points, while Takeba Dowden had a team-high seven rebounds.

Taylor Robinson paced Marshall in the losing effort with 12 points. Lajaccie Tuck added 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Troymesha Smith chipped in with three points and 10 boards.

 

Bullard Clinches Tie For 16-4A Title

BULLARD -- The 18th-ranked Bullard Lady Panthers closed the regular season with a 57-33 rout of Kilgore to force a tie with Gilmer atop the District 16-4A standings Tuesday night.

Lexi Kirgan led the way for Bullard (27-6, 9-1) with 30 points.

MarShalia Lollie and Mikayla Thomas sparked Kilgore with 13 points apiece.

 

Chapel Hill Rips Gladewater

GLADEWATER -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 59-14 win over Gladewater in District 16-4A action Tuesday.

Chapel Hill (22-10, 6-4) was led by Princess Suell's 17 points. Mykaela Alfred added 14 points, while Daija Maddox finished with 11 points.

The Lady Bulldogs will meet either Paris North Lamar or Pleasant Grove in the bi-district round of the playoffs next week.

 

Tenaha Dominates Beckville

BECKVILLE -- The Tenaha Lady Tigers rolled to a 73-29 win over Beckville in the District 22-2A finale for both teams Tuesday night.

Alicia Roland and Ke'Anya Davis led Tenaha with 16 points apiece. Brooke McClure and LaPorsha Perry chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Madi Mize paced Beckville in the loss with nine points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

 

Grace Stops Brook Hill

TYLER -- The Tyler Grace Lady Cougars earned a 52-42 win over Bullard Brook Hill in the first round of the TAPPS District 2-4A tournament on Tuesday night.

Addie Daughtry scored 27 points and Parker Daughtry finished with 13 points to lead Grace (23-8, 7-2).

Mia Martinico led Brook Hill (11-14, 3-6) with 15 points, which included three 3-pointers. Emily Webb chipped in with 12 points.

Both teams continue play in the district tournament Friday at Dallas Christian. Brook HIll tips off at noon, while Grace plays at 6 p.m.

Waskom Topples White Oak

WASKOM -- The 17th-ranked Waskom Wildcats cruised to a 61-40 win over White Oak in District 17-3A action Tuesday night.

Eric Stephens III led Waskom (13-5, 8-0) with 15 points. Chan Amie added 12 points, while Kaleb Haynes and Mike Reason chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Nike Simmons paced White Oak (14-7, 5-3) with 14 points.

Both teams return to the court Friday night. Waskom hosts Sabine, while White Oak travels to Elysian Fields.
