WHITEHOUSE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats clinched at least a share of the District 16-4A title with a 56-46 win over Lindale on Tuesday at Wildcat Arena.

Patrick Mahomes led the way with 19 points for Whitehouse (23-5, 7-1), which can clinch the outright district championship with a win over Jacksonville on Friday.

Jaylon Dews knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, while Spencer Shaw finished with 10 points in the win.

Lindale (14-14, 2-6), which faces John Tyler on the road on Friday, was paced by Jacob Capo's 14 points. Brian Boaz added 10 points and Court Brown finished with nine in the losing effort.

Marshall Rolls Past Pine Tree

MARSHALL -- The Marshall Mavericks scored an easy 98-59 win over Pine Tree in District 14-4A action on Tuesday night.

Jay McKnight led Marshall (26-6, 5-3) with 19 points. Tiandre Jackson-Young added 15 points and nine rebounds, Shimar Jones also scored 15 points, Chris Brown registered 12 points and six assists and Chris Jones had 12 points in the big win.

Marshall returns to action Friday at Texas High, while Pine Tree is at Sulphur Springs also on Friday.

No. 10 Athens Edges Brownsboro

BROWNSBORO -- The 10th-ranked Athens Hornets held off Brownsboro with a 64-61 win Tuesday that kept the Hornets unbeaten in District 15-3A.

Anthony Sanders led Athens (25-1, 8-0) with 29 points and eight rebounds. Courtland Lyons added 20 points, Ryan Jefferson scored 13 points and Josh Garrett added two points and seven rebounds.

Will Bailey paced Brownsboro with 20 points. Quentin McKenzie added 16 points, while Tamrick Pace finished with 12 in the losing effort.

Athens is at Canton, while Brownsboro hosts Mabank on Friday.

Pollok Central Defeats Lufkin Hudson

POLLOK -- Pollok Central scored a 62-46 win over Lufkin Hudson in District 20-3A action on Tuesday.

Central improved to 22-9 overall and 8-2 in league play. It faces Diboll at home on Friday, while Hudson plays at Diboll next Tuesday.

Waskom Handles Ore City

ORE CITY -- The Waskom Wildcats rolled to a 56-33 victory over Ore City on Tuesday in District 17-2A competition.

Kevin Johnson paced Waskom (12-6, 10-2) with 19 points, while Chan Amie added 10 points in the winning effort.

Ore City fell to 8-17 overall and 3-9 in district play.

Waskom is at New Diana, while Ore City hosts White Oak on Friday.

No. 15 San Augustine Rips Lufkin Pineywoods

LUFKIN -- The 15th-ranked San Augustine Wolves cruised to a 92-31 win over Lufkin Pineywoods Academy on Tuesday night in District 23-A Division I play.

Dez Randle led San Augustine (23-8, 7-1) with 25 points. Jarvis Smith added 17 points, while Jamikel Roberts and Jordan Garrett had 11 and 10 points, respectively. Jadarrian Taylor and Jaylon Taylor scored eight points apiece in the comfortable victory.

San Augustine is at No. 14 West Sabine, while Lufkin Pineywoods hosts Zavalla on Friday.

GIRLS

No. 13 Canton Too Much For Van

VAN -- The 13th-ranked Canton Eaglettes soared to a 65-29 rout of District 15-3A rival Van on Tuesday night.

Kassidy Wilkerson led Canton (24-6, 9-1) with 18 points. Lilly Nelson and Courtney Roberts added 10 points apiece in the runaway win.

Hallee Carter paced Van (3-7 in district) with 14 points.

No. 22 Pleasant Grove Topples Paris

TEXARKANA -- The 22nd-ranked Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks capped unbeaten run through District 13-3A with a 60-43 win over Paris on Tuesday.

Renee Walker led Pleasant Grove (25-4, 10-0) with 16 points. Brette Wacha added 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Hayley Harp also managed a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards.

Katelyn Looney sparked Paris (18-9, 8-2) with 13 points.

Mineola Crushes Mabank

MINEOLA -- The Mineola Lady Jackets eased past Mabank by the score of 62-21 in District 15-3A action on Tuesday.

Kelsey Green and Sister Green led the way for Mineola (16-14, 6-4) with 16 points apiece. Raven Johnson added 14 ppints, eight rebounds and four assists, while Jordan Dawson finished with eight points and 11 boards in the big win.

Mabank fell to 3-7 in district play.

Bullard Defeats Henderson

HENDERSON -- The Bullard Lady Panthers stormed to a 56-42 win over Henderson in District 16-3A action on Tuesday.

Bridgette Taylor led Bullard (24-6, 9-2) with 25 points. Maddy Slayter added nine points, while Brittany Hinton finished with eight in the victory.

Winona Slips Past Hawkins

HAWKINS -- The Winona Ladycats edged past Hawkins 56-53 in District 18-2A competition on Tuesday night.

Kawaii Gordon led the way for Winona (19-6, 8-6) with 18 points, 12 rebounds, five steals and four assists. Jamece Gulley added 16 points, six boards and five steals in the narrow win.

No. 1 Martin's Mill Eclipses Century Mark

OVERTON -- The top-ranked Martin's Mill Lady Mustangs reached the 100-point plateau for the first time in coach Doug Barncastle's nine-year tenure with a 103-75 win over Overton on Tuesday in the District 17-A Division I finale for both teams.

Alyssa Pate sets career highs with 35 points and nine 3-pointers as Martin's Mill (29-2, 12-0) finished with 16 field goals from the beyond the arc as a team. Cheyenne Brown added 29 points, Cassidy McCoy finished with 14 and Hailey Celsur chipped in with 13 points.

Heather Raney led Overton with 28 points, while Shamanna Adkins added 20 in the loss.

Martin's Mill, the district champions, will face Chireno in a warm-up game at 7 p.m. Saturday from UT Tyler's Herrington Patriot Center.
