WHITEHOUSE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats improved to 3-0 on the season with an 87-75 win over Texas High on Tuesday night at Wildcat Arena.

Patrick Mahomes led the way for Whitehouse with 19 points. Spencer Shaw added 18 points, Jake Parker scored 17 and Jaylon Dews chipped in with 16 points in the win.

Texas High dropped to 1-1 with the loss.

Whitehouse takes part in the Lindale Hoop Heaven tournament beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturday. Texas High, meanwhile, participates in the Northeast Lions Club tournament this weekend in Haltom City.

Lufkin Edges Longview, 52-49

LONGVIEW -- Lufkin withstood a fourth-quarter Longview rally to hold on for a 52-49 win at Lobo Coliseum on Tuesday.

Davis Robinson's 21 points led the Panthers, who improved to 4-2 on the season. D.J Gibson added 10 points, while KeKe Coutee, a Texas football commit, chipped in with seven points.

Longview, which did not have its football players participate, fell to 4-2. D'Keilen Lynch scored a game-high 23 points in the loss, while 6-foot-6 post Cadell Williams had 14. Trez O'Quinn scored eight points.

A 13-5 second-quarter advantage pushed Lufkin ahead 22-14 at halftime. The Panthers led by 10 points, 33-23, going to the fourth, but the Lobos outscored the Pack 26-19 in the final period to get back in the game and make it a close call for Lufkin.

Longview competes in Lindale's Hoop Heaven Tournament this weekend. Lufkin travels to the Beaumont Young Men's Business League Tournament.

Marshall Takes Down Center

CENTER -- The Marshall Mavericks scored a 76-61 win over the Center Roughriders on Tuesday night.

Tiandre Jackson-Young and Shimar Jones led the way with 17 points apiece for Marshall, which forced 26 turnovers on the night.

Marshall's season continues this weekend at the Shreveport Huntington Tournament beginning Thursday.

No. 10 San Augustine Defeats Kennard

SAN AUGUSTINE -- The San Augustine Wolves went to 2-0 on the young season with an 80-62 come-from-behind victory over Kennard on Tuesday.

JaMikel Roberts led the Wolves, which rallied from a 17-point first-half deficit, with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Jarvis Smith added 16 points, 12 boards. and five steals. Jadarrian Taylor and Jeremy Jenkins finished with 16 and 15 points, respectively.

San Augustine participates in the Huntington Tournament from Thursday-Saturday.

Ore City Scores Win Over Harmony

HARMONY -- The Ore City Rebels defeated Harmony 49-41 on Tuesday night.

Austin Spurlock led Harmony (0-3) in defeat with 20 points, which included four 3-pointers.

Harmony and Ore City both compete at the Hughes Springs Tournament this weekend.

No. 7 Chapel Hill Too Much For Gladewater

GLADEWATER -- The seventh-ranked Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs scored a 61-43 win over Gladewater on Tuesday in the District 16-3A opener for both teams.

Shay Ross led Chapel Hill (6-0, 1-0) with 18 points. Gabby Brooks added 12 points, while Dai-ja Maddox finished with 11, which included two 3-pointers.

Gladewater, which fell to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in district, was led by Diamond Goodwyn's 22 points. Kierra Duncan added 10 points.

Chapel Hill's season resumes this weekend at the Canton Tournament, while Gladewater participates at the Wiley College Classic from Thursday-Saturday in Marshall.

Lindale Edges Mineola

MINEOLA -- The Lindale Lady Eagles took a 60-55 victory over Mineola on Tuesday night.

Natasha Malone led Lindale (3-3) with 18 points. Paige Murphy added 17 points, while McKenna Cox chipped in with 10.

Mineola (4-3) was led by Kelsey Green's 15 points. Jordan Dawson added 14 points, Sister Green had 12 and Jada Harper finished with 11 in the losing effort.

Lindale hosts the Hoop Heaven tournament this weekend, while Mineola is at Yantis next Tuesday.

Pittsburg Takes Down Lone Oak

PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg Lady Pirates scored a 60-47 victory over Lone Oak on Tuesday.

Jasmine Walker led Pittsburg (5-2) with 20 points. Denasia Watson finished with 11 points, while Ayanna Palmer added 10.

No. 21 Winona Cruises Past Bullard Brook Hill

WINONA -- The 21st-ranked Winona Lady Wildcats remained unbeaten on the season with a 67-19 rout of Bullard Brook Hill, which is ranked No. 24 by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches among small private schools.

Kawaii Gordon paced Winona (8-0) with 20 points, 17 rebounds, five steals and four assists. Jamece Gulley added 13 points, eight boards and five steals. Bailey Daniels chipped in with 11 points (three 3-pointers), while Darrisha Crawford finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

Winona hosts its own tournament this weekend, while Brook Hill takes part in the Hawkins Tournament.
