CARTHAGE -- Marisa Snow's walk-off, RBI triple sent the Carthage Lady Dawgs to a thrilling 5-4 win over Elysian Fields on Tuesday night.

Brooklyn Peace got the complete-game win for Carthage, allowing two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts and four walks.

Snow finished 2-for-4, Kyrstin Martin was 2-for-3, while Kaitlynn Earle doubled and finished with two RBIs to lead Carthage at the plate.

Winnsboro Tops North Hopkins

WINNSBORO -- The Winnsboro Lady Raiders earned an 8-4 win over Sulphur Springs North Hopkins on Tuesday night.

Kim Jongsma earned the pitching victory for Winnsboro (5-3), allowing four runs on five hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

Madison Gillean tied the game at 3-3 with a two-run homer in the fourth, before the Lady Raiders broke the game open with four runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth on Kasey Thomas' RBI double.

Winnsboro's season resumes this weekend at the Tyler Tournament, which begins Thursday.

Whitehouse Defeats Gilmer

WHITEHOUSE -- The Whitehouse LadyCats cruised to a 6-1 win over Gilmer on Tuesday night.

Ronnie Fountain ran record to 6-1 on the year by allowing just one run and four hits.

Autumn Crymes and Brook Brady each had two hits to lead Whitehouse at the plate. But seven other players recorded a hit as the LadyCats broke through with 11 on the night.

Whitehouse returns to action this weekend at the Spring Hill Tournament in Longview.
