NEW CHAPEL HILL -- Chapel Hill needed only three sets to take down Palestine on Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs won by scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-19 to complete a sweep of the Ladycats.

Mary Wages finished with four aces, 23 assists and eight digs in the victory, while Kamryn Wages had 12 kills and three aces. Lakeyvia Hill recorded three aces and 13 digs.

Chapel Hill now turns its attention to the Tyler Tournament on Friday and Saturday, where the matchups are to be determined.

Emory Rains falls to Crandall in four sets

EMORY -- The Ladycats couldn't quite pull it off, dropping a Tuesday evening match to Crandall.

Rains took its only victory in the second set, which it won 25-19. It lost the others 25-23, 25-10 and 26-24.

Summer Nerkowski led the team in kills with eight. Kaitlin McIntyre and Chanlee Oakes each finished with seven blocks, and Elissa Elliot had 31 digs.

Rains drops to 3-5 and will look toward pool play of the Forney ISD Tournament, which begins on Thursday.

Beckville sweeps Troup

TROUP -- Beckville easily earned a victory against Troup on Tuesday in a sweep.

The Ladycats took the matches by scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-15. They improved to 15-6 with the victory.

Next up, Beckville will participate in the Tyler Tournament beginning on Friday.

Tatum takes down Union Grove

UNION GROVE -- Tatum took care of business on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Eagles swept Union Grove by scores of 25-10, 25-11 and 25-18 on the road.

Ashton Brown led the team with 11 kills, two blocks and five digs. Essence Allen wasn't far behind her with 10 kills, four blocks and nine digs. Tatum improved to 11-3 with the victory and will next participate in tournament play in Forney on Friday.
