Tuesday Volleyball: Hallsville + White Oak Grab Wins

CARTHAGE -- The Hallsville Ladycats earned a hard-fought 26-24, 25-17, 23-25, 28-26 win over Carthage on Tuesday night.

Carthage (13-7) was led in defeat by Lexi Alexander, who assisted on 19 of her team's points. Carson Robertson added 14 assists, Courtney Edge had 29 digs, while the duo of Ashton Goldman and Addi Blissett combined for 19 digs.

The Lady Dawgs return to action Friday at Whitehouse.

White Oak Outlasts Winona

WINONA -- The White Oak Lady Necks snapped Winona's 19-match winning streak with a five-set victory Tuesday night, 12-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Nichole Garrett led Winona in defeat with 16 kills, three blocks, and 10 digs. Makayla Champion added eight kills and a pair of blocks.

Winona begins District 15-3A play Saturday at Arp.

Emory Rains Sweeps Caddo Mills

EMORY -- The Emory Rains Ladycats won their ninth consecutive match with a 25-19, 25-18, 25-16 sweep of Caddo Mills on Tuesday.

McKenna Hildebrandt paced Rains (17-10) with eight kills and six blocks. Shelbi Sheppard added five kills, 19 assists, two aces, and 13 digs, Summer Nerkowski had five kills, Aubrey Gowin finished with three blocks, Mackenzie Tolleson had three aces, while Elissa Elliott chipped in with 14 digs.

Rains travels to Athens on Friday.

Carlisle Rolls Past Kilgore

KILGORE -- The Carlisle Lady Indians cruised to a 26-24, 25-18, 25-17 sweep of Kilgore on Tuesday night.

Heather Craig led Carlisle (15-11) with 15 kills and 14 digs. Aubrey Hart added 13 kills, six blocks, and two aces, Callie Gray had eight kills, four blocks, two aces, and five digs, while Jailin Kee racked up 26 assists to go with six digs.

Carlisle opens District 20-2A play Friday at Leverett's Chapel.
