HARMONY -- The Alba-Golden Lady Panthers remained perfect in District 14-3A play with a 25-22, 25-15, 25-20 sweep of Harmony on Tuesday night.

Gracie Pendergrass led Alba-Golden (21-7, 5-0) with 10 kills and two aces. CeTara Carter added seven kills, four blocks, and an ace, Bethany Carson provided seven blocks, Briana Weissert had 15 assists and two digs, while Caitlin Lennon chipped in with three blocks and 15 assists.

Alba-Golden's season resumes Friday at home vs. Winona.

 

Quitman Outlasts Winona

WINONA -- The Quitman Lady Bulldogs survived a tough match from Winona, earning a 21-25, 25-20, 25-9, 17-25, 16-14 victory in District 14-3A play Tuesday night.

Kaci Raley paced Quitman (15-16, 4-1) with 15 kills, three blocks, 29 digs, and six aces. Molly Tanner added 10 kills and 19 digs, Macy Wilson had eight kills and 10 digs, Madalyn Spears accounted for eight kills, 13 digs, and two aces, while Cammie Hicks dished out 39 assists to go with two kills and 14 digs.

Quitman's season continues Friday at home against Grand Saline.

 

Paul Pewitt Too Much For Hughes Springs

HUGHES SPRINGS -- The Paul Pewitt Lady Brahmas rolled to a 25-9, 25-16, 25-23 sweep of Hughes Springs on Tuesday night in District 16-3A action.

Hughes Springs was led in defeat by Peyton Blythe, who finished with nine kills, 11 assists, and three aces. Kensley Echols added six kills and a pair of aces.

The Lady Mustangs resume their season Friday at home against Linden-Kildare.

 

Beckville Has No Trouble With Leverett's Chapel

BECKVILLE -- The Beckville Lady Bearcats remained undefeated in District 20-2A with a 25-8, 25-13, 25-6 sweep of Leverett's Chapel on Tuesday night.

Natalie Morris led the way for Beckville (25-5, 5-0) with 10 kills, three digs, and four aces. Kinley Blair connected for nine kills, a blocks, and two aces, Carley Lawhorn added four kills and five blocks, Carson Blair had three kills, eight digs, and a pair of aces, while Kassidy Alexander registered 31 assists with four digs.

Beckville travels to Carlisle on Friday.

 

Carlisle Drops Overton In Four

PRICE -- The Carlisle Lady Indians stayed perfect in District 20-2A with a 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17 defeat of Overton on Tuesday night.

Julie Smith led the attack for Carlisle (20-10, 5-0) with 15 kills, 14 digs, and six aces. Keylee Adair added eight kills. 20 digs, and four aces, Macey Minnix had eight kills and seven blocks, Madison Martin chipped in with eight kills and three blocks, while Ceci DeLeon dished out 30 assists to go with two aces.

The win sets up Friday's showdown of district unbeatens when Beckville travels to Carlisle.

 

Emory Rains Sweeps Wills Point

EMORY -- The Emory Rains Ladycats stayed unbeaten in District 14-4A with a 25-15, 25-7, 25-10 sweep of Wills Point on Tuesday.

Ashley Gowin led Rains (22-9, 2-0) with 13 kills and 11 digs. Charlotte Bradshaw added 13 kills, three blocks, nine digs, and two aces, Corley Cole had nine kills, seven blocks, and 14 assists, while Shelbi Sheppard finished with 20 assists and seven digs.

Rains' season continues Friday at Brownsboro.
