HENDERSON -- The Beckville Ladycats came away with an impressive dual-match sweep of Henderson and Elysian Fields on Tuesday night.

Beckville (7-2) recorded a 25-23, 25-17 win over Henderson, and followed that up with a 25-14, 25-18 defeat of Elysian Fields.

Carley Lawhorn paced the Ladycats with 15 kills, 12 digs, and eight aces. Kinley Blair added nine kills, six digs, and two blocks, Natalie Morris finished with eight kills, 16 digs, and two aces, Carley Lawhorn provided eight kills, three blocks, and three digs, while Kassidy Alexander dished out 48 assists to go along with four aces.

Beckville will take part in the ETBU Tournament in Marshall on Friday and Saturday.

 

Hughes Springs Takes Care Of Maud

MAUD -- The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs earned a 26-24, 16-25, 25-13, 25-19 victory over Maud on Tuesday.

Zoe Lanier led the way for Hughes Springs with nine kills, while Laken Smith added six. Peyton Blythe added eight assists, eight aces, and 24 service points, and Kennedi Northam provided nine digs.

Hughes Springs participates in the Redwater Tournament on Thursday and Saturday.

 

Winona Sweeps Longview Trinity

WINONA -- The Winona Ladycats earned a 25-20, 25-11, 25-20 sweep of Longview Trinity on Tuesday night.

Nichole Garrett led Winona with 17 kills, while Randaysha Hanson added seven kills and 21 assists. Janeth Tarango chipped in with 13 digs.

Winona continues its season Thursday-Saturday at the Big Sandy Tournament.

 

Gary Too Much For Nacogdoches

NACOGDOCHES -- The Gary Ladycats took down Nacogdoches, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21 on Tuesday.

Kristina Bell led the charge with eight kills and six digs. Leann Youngblood finished with seven kills and 11 digs, while Kristina Mayo added six digs and five aces, and Sydney Ritter chipped in with six digs of her own.

Gary plays in the Groveton Tournament on Thursday and Saturday.

 

Emory Rains Outlasts Princeton

PRINCETON -- The Emory Rains Ladycats outlasted Princeton in five games on Tuesday, 25-22, 26-28, 20-25, 28-26, 15-13.

Ashley Gowin led Rains with 18 kills, 11 blocks, and 21 digs. Charlotte Bradshaw added 18 kills and 18 digs, Corley Cole had 10 kills and 21 blocks, Courtney Luckett was in on 25 digs, and Shelbi Sheppard registered 27 assists.

Rains makes its home debut Friday night against Greenville.
