MARSHALL -- The Carthage Lady Bulldogs swept a dual volleyball match Tuesday, defeating Marshall (25-9, 25-9, 25-19) and New Diana (25-20, 25-14, 25-12).

In the win over Marshall, Carthage (15-2) was led by Cindrasha Boykin, who had eight kills. Faith Landreneaux added seven kills in the win.

Alli Capps paced Carthage against New Diana with 14 kills and five aces. Landreneaux added five kills, Carson Robertson dished out 21 assists, while Kaitlyn Nutt and Courtney Edges had 19 and six digs, respectively.

Carthage returns to action Friday in the Rockwall Tournament.

 

Quitman Earns Sweep of Chapel Hill

QUITMAN -- The Quitman Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 28-26, 25-20, 25-19 sweep of Chapel Hill on Tuesday evening.

Kaci Raley led Quitman (8-1) with seven kills, eight digs, two blocks, and an ace. Madalyn Spears added five kills, 10 assists, two digs, and a pair of aces, Molly Tanner had four kills, 10 digs, and an ace, Jentri Jackson chipped in with nine assists, a kill, and two digs, while Macy Wilson collected six aces and seven digs.

Quitman takes part in the Tyler Tournament beginning Thursday.

 

Beckville Sweeps Troup

TROUP -- The Beckville Ladycats earned a 25-10, 25-14, 25-6 sweep of Troup on Tuesday night.

Riley Seegers led Beckville (12-2) with nine kills, eight digs, two blocks, and an ace. Jordan Tondreau added seven kills and eight digs, Kinley Blair had seven kills, seven digs, and a block, while Payton Jones finished with six kills and eight digs.

Kinley Pepper registered 33 assists to go with two kills, eight digs, and three aces.

 

Emory Rains Sweeps Dual Match

EMORY -- The Emory Rains Ladycats took down both Commerce (25-17, 22-25, 29-27, 22-25, 15-11) and Crandall (25-22, 24-26, 25-23, 25-17) in a dual match Tuesday night.

In the win over Commerce, Charlotte Bradshaw led Rains (8-4) with 22 kills. Taylor Pruitt added 14 kills, Shelbi Sheppard dished out 46 assists, Kenna Kellam and Elissa Elliott combined for 49 digs, McKenna Hildebrant came up with 16 blocks, while Summer Nerkowski hammered down four aces.

Against Crandall, Bradshaw led the way with 17 kills and four aces. Pruitt added 12 kills, Sheppard collected 35 assists and 19 digs, Hildebrant had eight blocks, and Kellam chipped in with 19 digs.

Rains' seasons continues Thursday at the Forney ISD Tournament.
