One day after receiving his first two Division I scholarship offers, Marshall 2018 offensive lineman Kameron King has added his first FBS invitation.

King announced via Twitter that Tulane has offered him, as he became the 16th member of East Texas' 2018 recruiting class to have at least one FBS offer.

The Marshall lineman picked up offers from Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State on Wednesday, both FCS programs.

Tulane has now offered six recruits in the '18 class from East Texas. King joins John Tyler linebacker and SMU commit Tre Allison, Tyler Lee quarterback Chance Amie, Pleasant Grove linebacker Xavier Benson, John Tyler linebacker Dekalen Goodson, and Henderson quarterback Trae Hall.

Last season, King helped Marshall’s offense to 3,939 total yards in an 11-game campaign. As a sophomore, he was part of an offense that put up 5,401 total yards and drove the team to a third-round appearance in the Class 5A Division I state playoffs.

Marshall will be under new leadership in 2017 after head coach Clint Harper left to become the athletic director for Duncanville ISD last month after four years on the job.

The Mavs hired former DeSoto head coach and SMU assistant Claude Mathis as its new head coach in March.

First-year coach Willie Fritz led Tulane to a 4-8 record last season. One win came in American Athletic Conference play.

King, like all college football prospects currently in their junior year of high school, will become eligible to sign with any school that offers him in December of 2018.
