WACO -- Tyler Grace football standout Kade Clayton put on a hurdles show at Saturday's TAPPS state track and field championships.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound running back/receiver flashed his skills on the track, winning gold medals in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles as he set TAPPS Class 4A records in both.

Clayton, a junior, won the 100-meter event with a time of 14.39 seconds. His first-place 300-meter time was 38.19 seconds.

Clayton has already received a football offer from Texas State and garnered interest from several other Division I programs.
