TYLER -- The Tyler Lee Lady Raiders erupted for three goals in the final 10 minutes to take a 3-1 win over Pine Tree on Wednesday night.

It was the second win for Lee over Pine Tree in five days.

"Playing Tyler Lee for the second time in five days has made us a better team, even though we didn't get wins," said Pine Tree coach Daniel Rich.

Pine Tree (5-3-1) scored first when Lorena Gonzalez broke away after receiving a pass from Kalynn Hudman and was able to slip the ball into the net just four minutes into the match.

The Lady Pirates, who were outshot 11-2, were able to hold off Tyler Lee until the waning minutes.

Pine Tree begins District 32-4A play Friday at home against Marshall, while Lee opens 12-5A action at Rockwall-Heath on Friday.
