Tyler Lee’s Beaux Limmer Commits to Arkansas

One of the top prospects in East Texas' 2019 recruiting class made his college decision on Thursday night.

Tyler Lee offensive lineman Beaux Limmer announced his commitment to the University of Arkansas via Twitter.

Limmer (6-5, 260) chose the Razorbacks over offers from 14 other programs, including Baylor, Houston, Oklahoma State, SMU, and Vanderbilt.

The Red Raiders' lineman is the third player in the area's 2019 recruiting class to commit, joining Whitehouse WR Cameron Cantrell (Texas Tech) and Longview OL Marcus Williams (TCU).

Last season, Limmer was the anchor on an offensive line that allowed the Red Raiders to average more than 34 points and 448.7 yards per game, 298.3 of which was rushing.

Arkansas is led by first-year head coach Chad Morris, who spent the previous three seasons leading the program at SMU. He brought with him East Texas high school coaching legend Jeff Traylor to be the running backs coach.

Traylor led Gilmer to three state titles from 2000-14 before leaving for the University of Texas as an assistant.

Arkansas was 4-8 overall and 1-7 in the SEC last season.

Limmer, like all juniors, can sign with any team that offers him beginning in December 2018.
