UIL State Softball Tournament: Matchups + Schedule

There will be four East Texas teams competing at the UIL State Softball Tournament this week in Austin, and three are making their second consecutive appearance.

Defending Class 3A champion Lufkin Hudson, 2A semifinalist Mineola (now in 3A) and 1A semifinalist Garrison (now in 2A) are all back at state after getting there a season ago.

Beckville, which was eliminated in the regional final round in each of the previous two seasons, broke through to reach the 1A state tournament.

Wednesday's games

• Class A semifinal: Beckville (29-8) vs. Weimar (33-3), noon
• Class 2A semifinal: Garrison (23-9) vs. Pilot Point (38-2-1), 3 p.m.

Thursday's games

• Class 3A semifinal: Lufkin Hudson (36-7-1) vs. Burkburnett (31-5-1), 9 a.m.
• Class 3A semifinal: Mineola (30-8) vs. La Grange (38-3), noon
• Class A final: semifinal winners, 3 p.m.
• Class 2A final: semifinal winners, 6 p.m.

Saturday's game

• Class 3A final: semifinal winners, 10 a.m.
