Van Rolls to 50-28 Rout of Lindale

VAN – The Van Vandals rebounded from last week’s tough loss to Gilmer with a 50-28 rout of rival Lindale, Friday night at Memorial Stadium.

The Van (2-1) quarterbacking duo of Jayton Moffatt and Liam Nielson combined to pass for four touchdowns, three of which went to Ethan Robinson.

Running back Elijah Rankine also eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark on the night.

Lindale (1-2) is off next week before beginning District 9-5A Division II play at home against Marshall on Sept. 28. Meanwhile, Van plays at Pittsburg next Friday night.
