Vanderbilt Becomes the Ninth School to Offer Whitehouse Junior Justin Dunning

The offers keep rolling in for Justin Dunning.

The Whitehouse junior safety/athlete reported an offer from Vanderbilt on Thursday evening, giving him nine.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder has received three offers in the last seven days: Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, and Florida State. He recorded 15 tackles in the first seven-plus quarters of the season before suffering a season-ending knee injury in the fourth quarter of the Wildcats' 42-34 Sept. 5 victory against Chapel Hill at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler.

Dunning is the first East Texan in the 2015 class to receive a Vanderbilt offer. The Commodores have also offered Mount Pleasant 2014 receiver K.D. Cannon, who is committed to Baylor.

Dunning's nine offers put him second among the region's 11 players in the 2015 class. Only Gladewater defensive tackle Daylon Mack has more (15).
