Texas A&M-Commerce got another East Texas commitment Monday evening with the news of Van's Bryce Krumvieda committing to the Lions.

Krumvieda, who will play on the defensive line at the next level, racked up 95 tackles, 10 for loss, and two sacks during the regular season, which saw Van go 9-1. The Vandals finished 9-2 after a first-round loss to Henderson in the Class 3A Division II Region II playoffs.

Krumvieda joins John Tyler defensive back Traven Johnson, Longview safety Corey Bartley, Longview receiver Justinn Spady, and Whitehouse offensive lineman McKenlee Smith as recent Texas A&M-Commerce commitments. The Lions compete in the Lone Star Conference, which is Division II.

Another Lone Star Conference program that made a splash in East Texas is Tarleton State, which got commitments from Hallsville safety/linebacker Cayden Ferrill, Longview linebacker DeMarkus Lathan, and Longview linebacker Torean Sheppard.
