Van coach Jared Moffatt confirmed Wednesday afternoon that ULM has offered Vandals defensive tackle Syd Moore.

That gives Moore (6-1, 260) three Division I offers, two of which are from Football Bowl Subdivision programs. Moore also holds offers from SMU and Texas State, a Football Championship Subdivision program.

Moore had a huge junior season, finishing with 102 tackles and eight sacks. Thirty-four of his tackles were for loss.

Moore takes an even larger role on Van's defense in 2012 after the spring graduation of star linebacker Dalton Santos, who is now at Texas.

ULM has already gotten one commitment from an East Texan: Longview quarterback Bivins Caraway (6-0, 200). The Warhawks have also offered Henderson athlete Patrick "Monster" Brown (5-10, 175), Henderson offensive lineman Nick Siler (6-4, 255; committed to Air Force), and New Boston running back Damien Haskins (5-9, 210).
