Volleyball Roundup: Lindale Sweeps Longview; Arp Goes 1-2 in Pool Play at Van Tourney

LONGVIEW -- Savannah Cantrell registered in nine kills, three blocks and seven digs in Lindale's 25-8, 25-13, 25-22 sweep of Longview on Friday night.

Hannah Brown added seven kills and four digs, Travicia Acy came through with five kills and six blocks, Symonne Brookins filled the stat sheet with six kills, three blocks and four digs and Sydney Tiiman racked up 34 assists on the night.

Lindale, which improved to 3-0 on the young season, plays host to Tyler All Saints on Tuesday. Longview resumes play in the Carthage tournament on Saturday before facing Marshall and Chapel Hill in a dual match Tuesday in Marshall.

Arp Goes 1-2 in Pool Play at Van Tournament

VAN -- The Arp Lady Tigers went 1-2 on Friday in pool play at the Van tournament.

Arp defeated Chapel Hill 25-22, 11-25, 25-15, lost to Brownsboro 22-25, 25-11, 27-25 and was beaten by Eustace 25-18, 25-20.

Arp resumes play in Van on Saturday.
