Week 1 2A/1A Poll: Elysian Fields Moves Up Three Spots to No. 3

Elysian Fields jumped three spots into the top three of the ETSN.fm Week 1 2A/1A Top 10, while three newcomers made their debuts in the poll.

Elysian Fields (1-0) went from No. 6 to No. 3 following a 37-22 win against Corrigan-Camden. Winnsboro went from unranked to No. 7 after routing Harmony 33-0, and Alto (1-0) and Garrison -- two more previously unranked schools -- jumped into the top 10 at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively, following Alto's 51-28 win against Elkhart and Garrison's impressive 47-21 win vs. Hemphill.

The top two spots remained unchanged. No. 1 Tatum (1-0) notched a 41-21 win against Arp, which fell from fourth to fifth in this week's poll. Second-ranked Newton (1-0) pounded Class 3A opponent Bridge City 35-12 to hold on to the No. 2 slot.

After Elysian Fields at No. 3, there's fourth-ranked Daingerfield (0-1), which fell one spot following a 31-14 loss to Gladewater. New Boston got a huge performance from Memphis commit Damien Haskins, who touched the ball five times and scored five touchdowns in leading the Lions (1-0) to a 55-6 win against DeKalb that pushed New Boston up one spot to No. 6 in the poll.

Sandwiched between seventh-ranked Winnsboro and ninth-ranked Alto is No. 8 Hughes Springs (1-0), which held its spot after a 28-21 win against Clarksville.

Three teams dropped out of the poll. Crockett, which was ranked No. 5, lost 41-7 to Lexington, while San Augustine lost its No. 9 ranking following a 41-20 loss to Tyler Grace Community. Tenaha went from 10th to unranked after a 22-6 loss to Joaquin.
