Week 3 3A Poll: Very Little Change in This Week’s Rankings

Eight of the 10 spots in the ETSN.fm Class 3A Top 10 went unchanged following this past weekend's action.

The only difference in last week's poll and this week's is Henderson flip-flopping with Jasper in the sixth and seventh spots. The Lions dropped a rain-soaked 21-20 decision to Hallsville on Friday to bump Henderson (1-2) from sixth to seventh. Jasper (3-0) remained unbeaten and jumped from seventh to sixth following a 53-13 thumping of Kirbyville.

Kilgore's game against Pine Tree was called because of lightning right after it started, leaving Kilgore (2-0) in the No. 1 spot by default. Carthage (2-1) held Chapel Hill to less than 150 yards and forced five turnovers in a 30-6 win for the second-ranked team in the region.

Palestine (2-1) kept its No. 3 ranking with a 24-10 win against Kaufman, and No. 4 Gilmer roared back for a thrilling 34-33 win against Jacksonville.

Gladewater (3-0) kept its unbeaten streak alive with a 25-14 win against Athens, while Rusk (3-0) did, too, blowing out another opponent -- this time Eustace, 45-6. No. 9 Bullard (3-0) and No. 10 Center (3-0) also stayed undefeated with a 14-0 win against Diboll and a 27-14 win against slumping Atlanta, respectively.
