Week 4 3A Poll: Kilgore, Carthage Remain at the Top + Unbeaten Rusk, Center Jump Multiple Spots

Kilgore and Carthage once again claimed the top two spots in the ETSN.fm Week 4 3A Top 10, but there's a lot of movement after them.

Kilgore (3-0) continued its dominant defense in a 38-6 win at Mount Pleasant, while Carthage (3-1) won its third consecutive game in a 44-21 rout at Nacogdoches. But the No. 3 spot saw Gilmer (3-1) move back into the top trio after a 43-14 win at Daingerfield.

The previous third-ranked team, Palestine, fell to seventh following a 34-14 loss to Chapel Hill, which dropped the Wildcats to 2-2.

Henderson, Rusk, and Center were the beneficiaries of a wild week in 3A.

Henderson evened its record at 2-2 with a 37-13 victory against Jacksonville, which vaulted the Lions from seventh to fourth in the weekly poll. Rusk (4-0) remained unbeaten behind another big performance from Chaston Bennett in a 42-14 rout of Athens and jumped from No. 8 to No. 5. Center (4-0) also kept its undefeated status with a 26-23 overtime victory against Fairfield. That helped the Roughriders' get the week's biggest move, from No. 10 week ago to No. 6 this week.

Bullard improved to 4-0 with a 60-0 win against Huntington, which bumped the Panthers from ninth to eighth. Jasper's first loss of the season -- a 17-7 defensive struggled against West Orange-Stark -- dropped the Bulldogs from sixth to ninth, while Gladewater's first loss -- a 31-20 decision to Atlanta -- dropped the 3-1 Bears from fifth to out of the Week 4 poll.

Van (3-1) capitalized on that, beating Kaufman 34-7 to re-enter the poll at No. 10.
