Week 7 2A Poll: Daingerfield, Jefferson Switch Spots

Eight spots remained the same in the ETSN.fm Week 7 2A top 10.

The only movement came at the sixth and seventh spots. Daingerfield (4-3, 2-1) moved from seventh to sixth following a 34-20 win against Hooks, while Jefferson (5-1, 0-1) dropped from No. 6 to No. 7 following a 26-22 loss at Troup.

No. 1 Newton (6-0, 3-0) flexed its muscles with a 74-7 dismantling of Winnie East Chambers, and No. 2 New Boston remained unbeaten with a 32-14 win against Redwater. Third-ranked Troup (6-0, 1-0) held its spot with the aforementioned win against Jefferson.

No. 4 Tatum (5-1, 1-0) held off No. 10 White Oak in a 28-21 win for the Eagles, while No. 5 Hughes Springs recorded its third consecutive district shutout in a 40-0 rout of Paul Pewitt.

No. 8 Mount Vernon (6-0, 2-0) was idle. No. 9 Arp (5-2, 2-0) beat Frankston 47-26, and tenth-ranked White Oak dropped the seven-point decision at home to Tatum.
