West Rusk is becoming accustomed to shutouts.

The Raiders have held teams scoreless six times in 11 games this season. They did so again on Friday, defeating Buffalo 35-0 and Tyree Wilson had plenty to do with it.

The Texas A&M commit finished with 13 tackles, five for loss, two quarterback hurries and caused and recovered a fumble. He is the Week 13 Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

He follows Carlisle's Gerald Turner, who won the award in Week 12.

West Rusk will square off with Newton, another East Texas team, in the regional semifinals. Newton is unbeaten and the matchup pits two of the state's top defenses against each other.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday in Tatum.
