White Oak Represents East Texas in Latest TGCA Volleyball Polls

Four-time defending regional champion White Oak was the only East Texas team in Monday's updated Texas Girls Coaches Association volleyball polls.

The Ladynecks were ranked No. 8 in the Class 2A poll after holding the No. 6 spot a week ago.

This week's polls ranked only 10 teams per class after last week's ranked the top 20 in each class. Seven East Texas teams were ranked in those polls, but only three -- 3A Spring Hill (previously No. 10), White Oak, and 1A Cayuga (previously No. 6) -- were ranked 10th or higher a week ago.

Spring Hill, Carthage, and Kilgore received honorable mention recognition in Monday's 3A poll. Tatum and Quitman received the same in the 2A poll, while Cayuga was honorable mention in 1A.
