LONGVIEW -- White Oak started Monday morning with a 7-on-7 football route at Spring Hill, then finished the evening with a pair of impressive wins at Lobo Stadium.

The Roughnecks beat Longview's A team 25-14 before topping Gladewater 25-6 on Monday evening in Longview's weekly June 7-on-7 league. White Oak beat Spring Hill 42-0 earlier Monday.

Tatum's defense looked strong as the Eagles outscored three Monday night opponents 72-13: 28-6 vs. Gladewater, 32-0 vs. Longview B, and 12-7 vs. Pine Tree. Tatum had three interception return touchdowns against Longview's B team.

White Oak quarterback Dylan Gale threw four touchdown passes in each of the Roughnecks' Monday night games. White Oak built a 25-0 lead against Gladewater thanks to touchdown throws of 45, 10, 45, and 10 yards to fellow senior-to-be Jansen McCurdy, who caught two of Gale's four touchdown passes in the 11-point win against Longview.

"We're just trying to get as good as we can and get ready for the fall so we can get a state championship. That's our goal," McCurdy said.

White Oak picked off Gladewater four times with four different defenders -- Josh Benson, Gabe Michael, Jake Pullen, and Zach Rowe -- in the 25-6 win. Pullen had four interceptions on the day as the Roughnecks held three opponents to a total of 20 points.

"It's our second year under our new coordinator and we're fitting in the system right now," said Michael of the Roughnecks' defensive success. "We've got a year under our belt. We've got all the reads down. We just see it and play."

The Lobo A team went 2-1 with a 25-0 shutout of cross-town foe Pine Tree and a 46-6 rout of Gladewater. The Lobos returned two of their four interceptions against the Bears for touchdowns.

Longview quarterback Dezmond Chumley started slow against Pine Tree, but completed 14 of his final 22 passes, including touchdown strikes to L'Darrius Peterson (9), Dorian Leonard (45), and Stephon Anthony (4). Safety Laurent Johnson's 10-yard interception return touchdown accounted for the Lobos' other score. Fellow safety Stephan Maxey, a 2014 FBS prospect, had one interception against Pine Tree and three on the night.

Pine Tree was 1-2 with a 32-6 win against Longview's B team. FBS prospect Caleb Chumley, Pine Tree's 2014 quarterback, threw five touchdowns in that contest, four of which went to classmate Mason Hays. Chumley received an offer from Louisiana Tech on Friday to give him six FBS offers.
