Whitehouse Rolls to Big Win Over Pine Tree + Lindale Edges Tyler Lee in Friday’s Action at Lindale Hoop Heaven

LINDALE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats remained unbeaten on the young season with an 83-44 rout of Pine Tree on Day 2 of the Lindale Hoop Heaven basketball tournament on Friday.

Patrick Mahomes led Whitehouse (5-0) with 19 points, while Jaylon Dews finished with 17.

Pine Tree was paced by Robert Hines' 12 points.

Lindale 41, Tyler Lee 40

The host Lindale Eagles, behind 13 points from Jordan Gray, edged the Tyler Lee Red Raiders, 41-40.

Lindale also got 11 points from Mason Terry and 10 from Jacob Capo.

Caleb Johnston led the Red Raiders with 15 points -- all coming via the 3-point basket. Jack Calhoun and Demondrick Barker added eight points apiece in the loss.

Tyler Lee 46, Pine Tree 33

Earlier in the day, the Red Raiders took care of Pine Tree by the score of 46-33.

Johnston again led the way for Lee with 13 points. Rico Major added nine points.

Caleb Chumley scored 16 points to lead Pine Tree, while Blake Adams chipped in with 10.

GIRLS

Lindale 55, Henderson 13

The Lindale Lady Eagles dominated Henderson, earning a 55-13 win.

Natasha Malone had 20 points to pace Lindale. Megan Seawright added 12 points, while McKenna Cox finished with 11.

Keyah Stewart led Henderson with seven points.

Troup 46, Lindale 41

Lindale began its day, however, with a 46-41 loss to Troup.

Alexus Lacy led Troup with 21 points, while Josee Ross chipped in with 13.

Paige Murphy and Heather GIlbert had 11 points apiece to spark Lindale.

Pine Tree 41, Troup 28

The Pine Tree Lady Pirates earned a 41-28 victory over Troup.

Kabreshia Orange paced Pine Tree with 16 points, while Sky Holmes added 11 in the winning effort.

Ross was Troup's leading scorer with 15 points.

Henderson 38, West Rusk 37

The Henderson Lions took a slim 38-37 win over West Rusk.

Stewart's 16 points led the way for Henderson.

Tierra Wilson was the high-point girl for West Rusk with 12 points.
