Patrick Mahomes wanted to hear from Baylor, and now he has.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior quarterback, who already holds offers from Texas Tech and Rice, received a Feb. 2 junior day invitation from Baylor, which had offensive line coach Randy Clements stop by Whitehouse today, Mahomes confirmed.

Mahomes has junior day invitations each of the next four weekends: Sunday at Texas A&M, Feb. 2 at Baylor, Feb. 9 at Texas Tech, and Feb. 16 at SMU. He said plans to attend at least the first three.

Mahomes, who started at free safety as a sophomore, threw for more than 3,800 yards, 46 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while rushing for six more scores as a first-year quarterback starter in 2012.

A definite advantage Texas A&M, Baylor, and Texas Tech have over SMU is a baseball program since Mahomes is also a standout on the diamond. Mahomes has baseball offers from Arkansas and Arizona.
