You never know what you are going to find when you do a little spring cleaning in Amarillo. I recently went through the process and wanted to declutter a little bit. That declutter took me on a journey through some great places in Amarillo.

Once upon a time here in Amarillo, there were not a lot of choices when it came to convenience stores in our city. Now it seems there are plenty to choose from. In the past year or so we have seen the up in the convenience store game.

We are still months away from the Tri-State Fair to make a stop here in Amarillo, Texas. Even when they do there is one fair food that you will not be able to find as you are making your fair food selection.

Who is ready for an Amarillo favorite to get back to serving great BBQ? I know that it has been a long few months since Doug's Bar-B-Que on Georgia Street closed. Right before Christmas issues came up with the building.

One of the things I loved when my daughter was growing up in Amarillo was our fun activities. I loved to fill our weekends with fun we could have together. We would head to the movies and catch the newest movies. We would run out to Hastings and find a movie on the shelf.

The fun thing about having a Buc-ee's in Amarillo is discovering all of the fun stuff they stock up on for the upcoming holidays. Buc-ee's opened up right before Christmas so that was our first glimpse of holiday Buc-ee.

Amarillo has a lot of great restaurants. We can go to a different place every day for several months and still not visit all that this great city has to offer. What's great is that we seem to add new places all of the time.

If you don't pay attention you could miss something in Amarillo. We get new places opening up pretty fast. Some places last. Some places are gone before you even know they opened.
