East Texas produced 31 medals on the final day of the UIL state track meet Saturday in Austin.

East Texans claimed 23 medals on the first day of the UIL state track meet in Austin on Friday.

Lufkin and John Tyler will be moving down to Class 5A for the next two years, according to conference cutoff numbers released by the UIL on Wednesday.

The UIL collected enrollment numbers Friday from schools across the state in advance of February's biennial realignment and reclassification.
