CENTER -- Caiden Rainbolt threw touchdown strikes for the game's first four scores to lead Center to a 34-7 home win against Diboll in Friday night's District 20-3A opener.

Rainbolt finished with 274 yards and four touchdowns on 25-for-32 passing as Center got its first win of the season to improve to 1-6 overall and 1-0 in district.

Center outgained Diboll 432-244, and all four touchdowns went to different receivers -- Josh Burns, Octavius Evans, DeJalen Preston, and Jacorey Bolton. Evans caught 12 passes for 95 yards, while Preston had five grabs for 69 yards. Burns recorded six receptions for 64 yards.

Dacorey McGee led Center with 87 yards on 12 carries, while Preston added 43 yards on six attempts. Dalton Horton caught four passes for 48 yards.

Desmond Shelby was the lone bright spot for Diboll, which fell to 0-7 overall and 0-1 in 20-3A. Shelby ran 35 times for a game-high 142 yards. Kevin Hurley scored Diboll's only touchdown, a three-yard run that made the score 27-7 on the first play of the fourth quarter. Center's JeMarcuss Jones capped the scoring with a three-yard touchdown run of his own.

Diboll's Cielance Bailey had a team-high four catches for 34 yards. Hurley completed 9 of 31 passes for 97 yards.

Center visits Carthage on Friday, while Diboll hosts Jasper.
