Chandler Eiland Pilots Canton’s 42-0 Win Over Mineola

MINEOLA -- Chandler Eiland accounted for five touchdowns in the Canton Eagles' 42-0 shutout of Mineola on Friday night.

The win improved Canton to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in District 15-3A. Mineola, meanwhile, fell to 3-5 and 0-3.

Eiland passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns, and posted 39 yards and two TDs on the ground. The three TD passes went to three different receivers -- Nick Hobbs, Connor Eiland and Colton Williams.

Reece Sumner rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on just eight carries for Canton, which faces Brownsboro next week. Mineola plays at Athens.
