McKINNEY -- Eno Benjamin outshined Cameron Haller in a matchup of elite running backs to give Wylie East a dominating 69-35 win over Marshall on Friday in a Class 5A Division II bi-district matchup.

Benjamin ran all over Marshall to the tune of 354 yards and five touchdowns to send the Raiders to the area round of the postseason, while the Mavericks ended 2016 with a 6-5 record.

Benjamin scored four of his five rushing touchdowns in the first half and ended the second quarter with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Corbin Johnson to give the Raiders a 49-21 lead at halftime.

Haller did all he could to keep Marshall in the game, rushing for 133 yards and a touchdown and throwing for 117 yards and another score, but the Mavericks couldn't recover from a 20-7 deficit that turned into 35-7 early in the second quarter.

Wylie East faces the Colony in the area round at a time and site to be determined.
